I just moved to New York, so I'm reviewing everywhere I go. You can also see my reviews on Yelp.

manic

I swear I'm a bundle of nerves right now. I think I just sent the wrong email.

And I took a call from an important client and forgot his name.

I think I'm insane.

It's Christmas.

It's allowed.

Right?

Right?

Okay, to make the time pass, I'm blogging a writing dilemma.

Let's say you have a character, who is unhappy in her housewife marriage, cheats on her husband, and can't be happy. The husband leaves her and now she's alone.

On her own, she grows.

Into what?

Realistically, she gets a modest job somewhere. She doesn't meet someone new because that would imply she relies on men to make her happy...

But the end of a play with one of the leads getting a job at quicki-mart seems, well, anti-climactic?

The woman...After leaving her husband, she decides not to get into another relationship or even to go looking for one right away. She needs to prove to her friends, family, and mostly to herself, that she can survive and even thrive on her own. She's worked before, a lifetime ago it seems, so she falls back on that previous experience (clerical work or something like that) to support herself while she goes back to school to get a degree in what she wanted to do back before her entire existence became being a wife. (Nothing too ambitious like doctor or lawyer cuz that takes years. Something like nurse or elementary school teacher. Ya know.) She gets her B.A. finds a position at an elementary school in some small town or whatever, meets a new man and lives happlily ever after. How's that? heheheh.

Lol. You can call me Trish by the way. You're right. It's old school or whatever, but I've wanted this for myself from time to time.

Firstly, if it's set up at the top that what she needs is a sense of independence, getting a job at a quicki-mart might be a really nice ending for a small play.

Secondly, I can't find an e-mail address for you and I want to talk to you about being included in your story-telling evenings.

Thirdly, as I was exploring your site I found a link to Opus Moreschi's site. I love Opus. He's one of the funniest writers I've ever worked with. How do you know him?
