Day of Thanks
So, it's the holidays. I am depressed. My other single friends are depressed. My friends in relationships (even the ones who are clinically depressed) are giddy beyond belief.
This is strange.
Because WHO CARES if you're dating during the holidays? If you are, then you have no time to see them or you're introducing them to your issues (also known as "family"). How lame is that?
I don't want that. Hell, no!
I'm so depressed.

Look at the bright side: you get to hoard the leftovers all to yourself. I have to share with my stinkin' life partner wife.
Luckily she doesn't eat much.

I love spouses who don't eat. I want one of those.

Good luck finding that in a guy. Happy Thanksgiving.

I have always thought Thanksgiving and Christmas are all about family. I'm married with a new child and Thanksgiving was fun this year but every year reminds me how far away I am from my parents. For me that's more depressing than whether or not I'm single.

Mochi, that is a mighty good point. I think I have such an abundance of geographically close family that I take it for granted. I am very grateful for my blood and adoptive clans. As well as my housemates who are a crazy, loving, amazing family as well.
